Thrilled to Announce: the Stratford Garment Guild!

I'm thrilled to announce the creation of the new Stratford Garment Guild! Inspired by the Ottawa Garment Guild (and guided by them with some set-up information, thanks guys!) and by the Atlantic Sewing Guild, I decided that our community also needed an in-person garment sewing group.

With a handful of other local enthusiasts I went ahead and held a planning meeting and we are now pleased to announce that the Stratford Garment Guild is live and will be meeting regularly starting in September of 2019, in Stratford. More information to come as we add content to our social media accounts and website.

But for now, if you are in the Stratford, Ontario area and want to keep up on what's happening, follow us on Instagram or on Facebook.

Announcing: Following the Thread

As you might have already noticed by landing on this page, I've made a big change.

I was feeling the need to refresh my blog and planned to work on it slowly & let everyone know it was coming, with some advance warning.

But this long weekend found me full of energy and drive and I spent most of it on the computer working on this refresh!

So I am proud to announce the arrival of my own domain name and my renewed blog:

Yes, it's a .ca, as I'm in Canada.

I'm aiming to synchronize both my passion for reading and for sewing a little more openly here, and will thus be sharing book reviews a little more often, and have some great literary surprises in store.

Stay tuned, and I hope you'll keep following my readerly, stitcherly adventures.
